An overview, which includes a brief summary of the Project, the need to reform the engineering curriculum from knowledge-based paradigm to development- based paradigm, the Developmental model and list of courses based on it, the people involved and the assessment and evaluation of the working of this Project. Finally the future initiatives of the Project are also included.

The steps in the development model, which is based on Blooms Taxonomy, is discussed in detail in this section with the introduction of an anecdote that illustrates the depth of understanding of a development -based course. The various steps in the developmental model are discussed.
